If there ever was a car responsible for completely changing the game in motorsports, the Audi Quattro is that car. Bringing the first successful 4-wheel drive and turbocharged platform to the early 80’s rallying was like bringing a nuclear bomb to a fistfight, nobody else stood a chance. The pinnacle of its evolution and by far the most loved car of the Group B era, the shorter wheelbase S1 got the most ridiculous wing setup for the E2 evolution version at the end of the 1985 season. But the sound of the unique 5-cylinder, high-boost engine roaring with over 600 horsepower output is what brings the chills down our spines each time we hear it. And that’s what Grumblo is all about. Celebrate this legend with us!
The Quattro S1 is one of Grumblo´s picks for the “Sounds of Performance” apparel series. You have seen this baby spit fire out the exhaust a million times. Quattro S1 we salute you - Keeping raw sounds alive.
